New EdTech Classroom Partners with Schoolytics

New EdTech Classroom is excited to announce our partnership with Schoolytics, a dynamic data analytics platform that helps educators take actionable steps to improve student learning outcomes.

At New EdTech Classroom, we believe wholeheartedly in the power of data to drive change and transformation, both in and out of the classroom.

Data tracking and analysis is one of the key strategies James Clear names in his bestselling book, Atomic Habits, as one of most effective ways to make long-lasting, positive change in a person’s life.

Tracking and analyzing what you do over the course of a day makes you more aware of how you spend your time and can help you be more productive. This systematic approach can be applied to pretty much any circumstance where the desired outcome demands sticking to a well-designed plan.

When I was training for an Ironman triathlon, I used data tracking to set goals, map out a plan to achieve those goals and then logged daily workouts and analyzed the results to make adjustments as needed on my way toward swimming 2.4 miles, biking 116, and running 26.2 in a single day.

It’s clear we need to take a similarly structured, pragmatic approach to meeting the current challenges we face in education, particularly in regards to student achievement.

Informed, data-driven instruction is the non-romantic, realistic path toward improving learning outcomes for students. But the problem today’s educators face isn’t lack of data – quite the opposite – the problem is that most educators are asked to collect loads of data, but then aren’t given a simple way to make sense of that data and put it into action.

That’s where Schoolytics steps in.

Schoolytics offers Google Classroom users quick insights into student learning through easy-to-understand visuals, and their AI driven automations help teachers monitor trends and look out for at-risk students.

Best of all, it’s intuitive to set up and use, and free for individual educators.

Schoolytics isn’t just for individual teachers. With district accounts, schools can connect their SIS and assessment and learning app platforms for an even more streamlined experience.

What’s more, with a district account, students and families also have access to their own data analytics portal. Teaching students how to understand their own data, and then turn that into an action plan, is one of the most powerful ways educators can help students begin to see themselves as agents of their own lives.

Schoolytics helps make this transformation possible, and we look forward to working together to improve learning outcomes for all our students.
